10 Month / Shawal-e-Mukaram
/ Eid-ul-Fitr:
The name of 10th the month of the Islamic calendar is Shawal-e-Mukaram. In this month Arbs went for hunting
and outing, therefore this month bears the name Shawal. Eid-ul-Fitr is
celebrated by Muslims at the first date of Shawal, and the day has been called
(Yum-ur-Rahmat) because on this particular day Allah sends his special
blessings to his beloved Muslims. The honey bee was bestowed by the apocalypse of
making honey on this day. Heaven and the tree of tuba were also created on this
day. Hazrat Jibril (A.S) has been chosen for sending a divine message on this
very day. The magicians of Firon seek the pardon of Almighty Allah. At the 17
date of this month, Gazawa-e-Ohd started in which the beloved uncle of Rasool (P.B.U.H)
embraced martyrdom. And the last 5 days of this month were the worst days for
the nation of Hazrat Add (A.S).
Bounteousness of the month of Shawal:
When the day of Eid
comes, God shows the nobility of his men to the angels, and says that " oh
angels what should be the reward of that laborer who has done his task? The
angles reply that his reward should be definitely given to him. God says O my
angels! My men and women performed the duty which was imposed on them, and they
went to (Eidgah), for offering Eid prayer, I pledge to my highness, loftiness,
grandiose and estimated position, I will accept their prayers, and says O my
beloved people! Retrace to your home you have been pardoned. And your bad deeds
have been changed into good deeds, Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) described that people
will return to their homes in that situation that they have been forgiven.
“Hazrat Ans (R.A) reported that the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) did not go to (Eidgah) at
Eid's day until he (P.B.U.H) ate some dates and he (P.B.U.H) always ate dates
in odd numbers.

Ansari (R.A) reported that the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that "a man who
observed fasts in the month of Ramadan and then adds the six fasts of Shawal, he
will get the reward of keeping fasts in the whole year"
A
misconception about Eid’s day:
It's common the perception that Eid is the day for a meeting, eating and greetings but it's not
so it's one of the great days and the prayers and worships of these days and
nights are more valuable than the worships of other days.
Hazrat Abu Umama
(R.A) reported that the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that the person who remains busy
in worshipping Allah at the days of Eidain, his heart will remain alive when
the hearts of the rest of the people will be dead.
Preferable
deeds of Eid:
- Muslims should visit friends and relatives in order to meet and greet them.
